Two Jarislowsky Fraser Select mutual funds, the Select Income Fund and the Select Balanced Fund, received the 2014 FundGrade A+ Rating, which are presented to Canadian investment funds that achieve consistently high FundGrade scores through an entire year. This rating identifies funds with the best risk-adjusted returns that also demonstrate a high level of consistency.
According to Fundata, the FundGrade A+ rating was designed to highlight the best of the best, with fewer than 4% of eligible Canadian investment funds attaining the A+ rating. FundGrade does not contain subjective recommendations, analyst reviews, or performance forecasts. Instead, FundGrade is an objective and completely quantitative measure that is based on a minimum of 2 and up to 10 years of a fund’s historical track record. For a fund to score a FundGrade “A” rating, the fund must substantially outperform its peers by finishing in the top 10% within its category in a given month.
